15 Martial Art Flicks To Watch While in Coronavirus Quarantine

Coronavirus got you down? Need a quick pick me up? We've got just the thing for you. We've put together a list of 15 awesome martial arts movies you can watch while in quarantine to lift your spirits. The best part about it is every movie on our list can be found on Youtube. Pop some popcorn, open a bag of chips and get ready for some of the best martial arts flicks ever produced from around the globe.

15. War of Arrows
When a skilled Korean archer's sister is kidnapped by Mongols he springs into action in an action packed battle of legendary archers -- Mongols vs Koreans. The action sequences alone make this flick worthy to be placed on our list.

14. The War of Loong
No martial arts flick would be complete without a time piece. This one is based on the events of 1885 where the French took over Zhengnan Guan in Guangxi province and the Chinese led by a courageous 70 year old general who fought for the honor of their country.

13. Brotherhood of Blades
The story focuses on three sworn brothers who are all elite warriors working for the emperor but could use some extra cash. They're given the task of finding a fugitive and on their journey they find out everything isn't what it seems with their orders and each other. If you're into corruption, conspiracies, betrayals and all kinds of twists and turns you have to see this flick.

12. Bangkok Assassins
What happens when a group of unfortunate teens are abducted and then disabled by the same folks that abducted them? They link up with a bad ass Shaolin monk that teaches them his skills and they become badasses themselves. This isn't the greatest martial arts movie on the list, but it's entertaining and pretty funny.

11. The Company Man
You're probably looking at the title and thinking why is this on the list. Could a movie with the name The Company Man actually be a martial art movie and one worth watching? You better believe it. This little gem not only has martial arts in it, but it also has a lot of gun play as well. In fact, within the first five minutes of the movie you quickly find out the movie is like a Korean version of John Wick. It then becomes apparent that the "company" the man is a part of is one dealing in murder. This is a must watch!

10. L.O.R.D Legend of Ravaging Dynasties
In this fantasy-adventure movie filmed using motion capture, supernatural warriors take on the powers of evil to maintain the order of the universe. At first glance you'll think you're watching a cool cut-scene of a video game, but you're not.

9.White Haired Witch
Strange name for a martial arts flick but don't let the name mislead you, this flick is action packed. The murder of a governor is pinned on Jade Rakshaw a woman fighting against the corruption of the government and for the oppressed people she cares for. Quick sword play, kicks, punches and plenty of wire fu will keep your mind off of the #CoronavirusLockdown for a while -- welp, at least an hour.

8. Bhavesh Joshi Superhero
We're going to take the liberty to categorized this flick as the Indian Kick Ass. Both are wanna be superheroes, both have ridiculous costumes, both do their share of kicking butt (and getting theirs kicked as well) and both movies are wildly entertaining. Here's the plot... the main character and his friend become vigilantes to clean up their country, but when the main character's friend runs into a real deal bad guy, things take a turn for the worse leaving his friend to take the whole vigilante stuff much more serious. It's definitely worth the watch.

7. The Night Comes For Us
This flick can be summed up in one word -- BRUTAL. Classic tale of an assassin having a change of heart and sparing the life of his target only to bring about the full wrath of the criminal organization he works for upon him. This movie takes beat downs to new levels. The fight scenes are so fluid and realistic you'll be sure to cringe at some of the sequences, like a crazy scene where a billiards ball is used to smash against someone's mouth leaving them spitting out blood and teeth. If you're into ultra violent action flicks with realistic martial arts fight scenes you might want to start with this one first.

6. Sun Dragon
This movie quickly became a favorite of ours. The story was a little basic, but the kung fu madness in this movie was insane. Martial arts legend Carl Scott known for his work in Bruce Lee: The Man, The Myth and A Hard Way To Die stars as Tommy, a guy who's family is killed by a band of criminals. Of course it's the typical setup -- loved ones killed, learn kung fu and unleash a can of revenge scented whoop-ass the world has never seen before on those responsible. Every fight scene in this movie is memorable especially the ones featuring Carl Scott, make sure you check it out.

5. Fist of Fury/The Chinese Connection
You can't have a martial art movie list without at least one movie by the martial arts legend Bruce Lee on it. This one is one of his best works which at the time of filming was more than just a good rock 'em, sock 'em movie. It actually made bold statements as to how the Chinese were viewed in Asia by the Japanese. One of the boldest statements made in the movie was when Bruce Lee's character kicked and destroyed a sign that said, "no dogs or Chinese" at a park's entrance. This movie is one of the best movies Bruce Lee ever made and worth a revisit.

4. The Way of the Dragon
It might seem unfair to have two movies starring Bruce Lee on this list, but let's face it, he made some pretty good movies and you can't just pick one. The great thing about this movie is the showdown between Bruce's character Tang Lung and Chuck Norris's character mononymously known as Colt. After this movie is when Chuckie boy's career seemed to take off where he dominated the 80s as one of the top action stars around. We're talking long before Walker Texas Ranger when Chuck Norris was walking around mustache-less kicking all sorts of butt. Not only does this movie deserve to be on our list, but it also deserves to be on any list of great flicks.

3. Revenge of the Ninja
The 70s was all about kung fu fighting and the 80s ushered in the ninja boom, so what's a good martial art flick list without a ninja movie, and what's a ninja movie without the legend Sho Kosugi? This is the story of a man who's a ninja, whose family gets attacked and killed by ninjas so he does what any reasonable ninja would do in that situation -- moves to America only to find out there's ninja over here too. If you haven't seen this before you'll enjoy the twists and turns in this flick.

2. Heroes of the East
This classic pits Chinese martial arts vs Japanese arts to see which is superior. Of course with this being a kung fu movie you can already guess there's a good measure of bias in the storytelling but it's entertaining nonetheless.

1. 13 Assassins
This is probably one of the best samurai movies made to date. The story is about 13 assassins who've collectively decided they've had enough of an evil warlord's antics, and all hell breaks loose when they decide to do something about it. There's a lot of swords clashing, blood spilling and butt kicking action to help you make it through the Coronavirus lockdown.
